Area of rescue in a healthcare facility can be used in the event that a patient falls and needs help. Usually an area of rescue will be under a stairwell in a high-rise building, but in a hospital it can be a duress button in the bathroom or in the room. It is slightly different from the nurse paging system that goes to
the nurse station and alerts the nurse that a patient in a certain room needs something. The duress button in the area of rescue will go to a dispatching center or to a particular person who will dispatch the emergency call accordingly, usually by sending someone to tend to the patient´s needs.
In other settings, such as airports or the stairwell of a hospital, or a parking garage, the button or receiver may alert an onsite dispatching center or make a call directly to 911 or other emergency authority, depending on the nature of the emergency. IFSS also provides a one-stop shop or turnkey security service, which means that we are able to undertake a full security project,
from the consulting and planning stage to designing, installing and servicing security systems. These include, but are not limited to access control, fire alarms, mass notification, point to point networks, alarm systems, sound systems and surveillance.
